Our Mission
Catholic Charities of Staten Island, is a 501c3 not-for-profit agency of the Archdiocese of New York, founded in 1871 by Father John C. Drumgoole.
In line with the Gospel mandate and the social mission of the Catholic Church, it seeks to promote family life, create a caring and healing community, and to allow all those it serves the realization of their God-give potential. The Mission strives in all its programs to promote the universal ideals of justice, peace and compassion and to work in concert with other community resources.
Our services include infant and pre-school day care; residential and other programs for developmentally challenged youth; social services to families in crisis, assistance to senior citizens, and a free community resource center to bridge the gap between addiction and recovery.
Programs To Support Our Community
Catholic Charities of Staten Island has bern providing assistance to those in need for over 10 years. Our programming includes, Senior Care, Services For The Developmentally Disabled, Youth Programs, Case Management, Vocational Training, and our Mobile Food Pantry.

Our program provides services and opportunities to recent graduates, and other young adults with developmental disabilities.

Food Pantry
Food insecurity in our borough is real, and we’re here to help. Our services include a food pantry in West Brighton as well as our mobile plus food pantry program.
Tender Care Pre School
Tender Care Preschool is located on Mount Loretto’s Campus and provides safe, affordable, high quality childcare. We offer a developmentally appropriate and nurturing environment for children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old.
Private Event Space
Did you know CCSI has a private banquet room that’s available for private party rentals? We can accommodate up to 150 guests and our room is equipped with lighting, sound and more. Book your next event with us today.
Community Events At CCSI
Our events bring the community together in unique ways, while raising money for our programs.
