Catholic Charities of Staten Island: Our Mission

Catholic Charities of Staten Island, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and affiliate of the Archdiocese of New York, has served the community since 1871—rooted in the vision of Father John C. Drumgoole at Mount Loretto.

Our mission is to meet people where they are and lift them to where they’re meant to be. Guided by the enduring values of justice, compassion, and human dignity, we provide critical support to individuals and families at every stage of life.

Through a broad network of programs—including early childhood education, services for individuals with developmental disabilities, family crisis support, immigrant services, senior services, and food insecurity resources we work hand-in-hand with community partners to create pathways to stability, independence, and hope.
